WOW GOD WEDNESDAY

Obviously I am a little late posting today's post. Truthfully, I was just putting it off because I didn't know what to type. I haven't really felt God wow me this past week. There have been a lot of good things happen in the last week and a lot of things that I am thankful for, but I just haven't been wowed.

However, just an hour a go a friend posted on facebook about the struggles that she was having with her baby girl and nap time. She said she was listening to her daughter "scream like she was being tortured" while trying to go down for a nap. It made me giggle a bit, but in all actuality it gave me a bit of relief because I, too, was listening to one of my daughters cry her heart out because she wanted mommy to hold her instead of take a nap. When I listen to my daughter cry like that at naptime I feel like I am the only one who is dealing with this (even at 18 months). So, it was so comforting to me to know at that point in time someone else was too struggling with it.

God has pretty good timing huh?

How has God wowed you today? Please share!

  1. I just want to thank God for my kids, they are becoming awesome people as they transition from teenagers to adults. It does a mom's heart wonders to hear complements about their kids, and as flustrated as I may get with them they are held in high regard by those at their school and those that they work with at an Equine Therapy Center. Eric has been there 3 years and Vanessa is in her 1st year (big brother didn't want her around until he left for college). Anyway yesterday at the HS they were on lock down after a freshman was found drinking (vodka) from her water bottle and during a search another freshman was found to have been handing out prescription meds he'd stolen from his folks..to say the least both were expelled. My question was how do the parents not notice?? My kids survived my being in and out of the hospital for 2 years and dealing daily with our wierd life with me in the wheelchair and having to rely on them for so much. They worry about me becoming addicted to the meds. They act older than they are and I'm sorry they had to step up to take care of me, the dogs and the house. But in today's world they can take care of themselves...
    Love too all of you
